We will get you current, ready for your practical test, or just more comfortable flying on floats. SES ratings typically are between 6 and 8 hours depending on your flying skills. Surfside (8Y4) is the largest seaplane base in the lower 48 and a great little airport. It is located in the Twin Cities metro very close to both KANE and 25D. Rice Creek Campgrounds, hotels, and many restaurants are in the area. Fly in, make it a family vacation, and along with your training enjoy the many attractions the Twin Cities has to offer.
