Experience flying in Alaska’s most famous bush plane: the Super Cub! Located in the heart of Alaska’s Matanuska Valley, you will have the opportunity to fly Alaska’s great lakes while maintaining access to the Valley’s best resources. Every spring, as soon as the ice melts, our Super Cubs trade in their bushwheels for floats, giving students from all over the world the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore south central Alaska’s multitude of lakes. Our float rating package includes up to eight hours of flight instruction and four hours of ground training at a discounted rate. Lodging, restaurants, and local culture are all close by! With a DPE on staff, two Super Cubs on floats, and dedicated instructors 7 days a week, floatplane training with Blue River Aviation is made easy!
