EAA AirVenture Fall Cleanup Weekend

“Fall cleanup weekend” has long been a tradition for seaplane pilot volunteers to lend a helping hand to put the AirVenture Seaplane Base to bed for the winter. The EAA AirVenture Seaplane Base is only open one week a year (during AirVenture), and it takes a lot of preparations. This weekend serves as the one post-convention “work weekend” to do special projects, prepare for winter, enhance camaraderie, and create team building for EAA & SPA volunteers. Seaplane pilots/volunteers are welcome to come join in the activities at the Base with arrivals starting Friday and departures on Sunday afternoon. Camping, toilets and fresh water are available during the weekend, although, showers are not provided. Some food and refreshments will be provided. 100LL is not available, but transportation can be arranged to fill your cans at the airport to bring back to the base. The EAA AirVenture Seaplane Base is located at 96WI or if you drive, the address is 5202 Streich Lane, Oshkosh, WI 54902. Consider joining your fellow seaplane pilots and volunteers for a fun weekend. For more information, please contact Co-Chairman, Kim Jarosz; email: or cell: 920-764-2887.
